If you've been having a hard time figuring out what to put on your resolutions list, here are a few ideas that we know your floors will appreciate!

1. Vacuum at Least Twice a Week

This is one of the easiest ways to extend the life of your floor by ridding it of all the dirt and grit that

would otherwise ruin your floor's surface, grout, or fibers.

2. Look for Signs of Damage in Your Floors

It's always a good idea to periodically check on your floors to see if anything needs to be fixed before it

becomes a much bigger problem.

3. Have Your Carpet Professionally Deep Cleaned by August

Because of all the nasty things that can find their way into your carpet fibers, it is incredibly important get

a professional cleaning done for the sake of both your floor and your family. This should be done semi-

annually, but even having it done once a year will help.

4. Buy New Door Mats

Door mats are a fantastic asset to your home since they help get the majority of gunk off your shoes

before you even step inside! Plus, they add some flair to your doorway, so why wouldn't you want to get

some new ones?

5. Rearrange Your Furniture

New year, new room, or at least that's what it will feel like once you've moved things around a bit.

Rearranging your furniture is also a great way to prevent pressure dents in your floor.

6. Thoroughly Clean Your Tile Grout

It's far to easy to neglect the grout in between your tiles, but carefully cleaning it will make your whole

floor, shower, or backsplash look much more pristine.

7. Stabilize the Humidity in Your Home Before Spring

Have hardwood floors? Protect them from crowning and warping by stabilizing the humidity in your

home and keeping it consistent. This will be especially important as the weather begins to warm up in a

few months.

effective and easygoing on your wallet, so there's no reason why you shouldn't try a few out and help

our planet in the process.

working with financially. It's a good idea to sit down and map out your budget so that the whole process

will go more smoothly and less stressful from the beginning.
