Countdown to Halloween! The Scariest Thing About Flooring

Boo!

WE'VE MADE IT TO HALLOWEEN! What a month it has been too! Floor It has been working hard to get everyone's houses ready for the upcoming festivities, and have loved every moment. How could we not when our customers are so fantastic? *wink, wink* But tonight gives us an opportunity to stop thinking about work for a few hours and step into a new role. Tonight, like so many others, we will put on our favorite costumes and celebrate all that has taken place in October.

As for this last blog, we had a hard time figuring out how to end the countdown series. What could possibly be the scariest thing we encounter as flooring professionals? What affects homeowners more than any of the issues we've already addressed? It took a few days, but we finally realized that the answer was right in front of us the entire time. There is absolutely nothing more horrifying in the flooring business than finding out that someone asked a question too late.

All too often, we encounter people who try to take the most inexpensive route to treating, cleaning, fixing, or replacing their floor. They take their chances with internet research and YouTube videos to learn how to make home adjustments on their own. They enlist help from amateur flooring companies without researching said company's credentials fully. These actions sometimes generate disastrous results.

Being a foundational part of your home that has to endure heavy foot traffic and weighty furniture, your floors need to be installed and cared for properly. If not done correctly the first time, you're going to end up spending more than any amount that you would've saved by opting for a DIY remodel. It's disheartening and expensive.

Contrary to what some believe, flooring contractors don't sit around wringing their hands maniacally in hopes that someone will fail in their own flooring endeavors. We're not monsters! We truly do want your floors to last for as long as possible. The best way to ensure that is for you to go to an established professional who can help you. And yes, while they may not be able to give you all of the secrets to fix whatever problems you have on your own (contractors need to eat, too), they can offer help in other ways. With just a bit of background about your floor they should be able to help you figure out the root to your flooring problems and what can be done to save your investment.

We here at Floor It strive to serve our customers in this way. Our mission is to be that company you can turn to when everything seems to be going wrong with your floor. Whether you need a small fix or a complete floor replacement, we are here to help you get the highest quality possible for your dollar. So please, if you are even a little unsure about what's going on with your flooring project, come to us before it's too late. Ask your questions, and we'll do all we can to help. Let us make flooring a little less...scary.

Didn't see that one coming, did ya?!

Happy Halloween, Everyone!
